Tonight on Chef Academy!
This week, the chefs get the freshest fish possible but Sarah is visibly afraid.
And...Suzanne has a squid allergy but Chef Novelli is not buying it.

Blogging Bravo Interview with Launch My Line's Susan Brunet
LK: Did you watch the episode last night?
SB: I don't have a television so I haven't seen it yet.
LK: Did you always want to be a fashion designer?
SB: Yes, I studied fashion in Atlanta and after I got my degree I went straight to L.A.
LK: Did you know any of the other designers?
SB: Not personally but I had heard of some of them.
LK: Did you ever see Patrick McDonald without his make-up?
SB: No, I never even saw him without his hat!
LK: Were you familiar with the Michael Levine fabric store?
SB: Yes of course, I think most of us were.
LK: Were you aware of the twists in the challenge or were you just as surprised as the designers?
SB: We were completely surprised.
LK: Did the contestants live together during the filming?
SB: No.
LK: Did you recognize any of the celebrity designers?
SB: Dan and Dean of course, Patrick McDonald, Dan Karady and that's about it. I was very happy to be teamed with Dan.
LK: Did you ever check out the Trim Room?
SB: No, but I peeked inside!
LK: Is there anything that you wish you had done differently?
SB: No, we were going with Dan's vision. He wanted a tailored jacket and we did the best we could with the time constraint.
LK: Have you remained in contact with the other designers from the show?
SB: Yes, almost all of them.
LK: Have a wonderful holiday Susan, thank you for the interview.

She by Sheree at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week - Continued
I was then able to go backstage (mostly because when the woman asked me where I was from, she heard the "Bravo" part louder than the "Blogging" part! Sheree was really striking in person and very pleasant to the many reporters on hand. When asked if signing on for "Real Housewives" was her way of promoting her line, she replied, "When I was approached about doing the show, I thought to myself, what better way to get the fashion thing going - it's always something I've been passionate about. And I could not have asked for better publicity!" She also noted that none of the other "Real Housewives" have seen the collection, but did see the collection that she put together for Fall 2009. She is also hoping that the collection that she plans to show in New York in February will bring the girls up North to check it out!
Although none of the RHOA girls actually made the trip, several other notable people were on hand to see the show. "Sex and the City" creator Michael Patrick King was in the crowd. British designer Stevie Boi had the cameras flashing trying to get photos of him, his entourage and fabulous sunglasses from their collection Many other BET personalities and media professionals were on hand as well! Most were friendly, but Sheree's hair stylist Lawrence acted like he didn't know what I was talking about when I quoted something that he said on the show - oh well, I tried to blow you up on the blogs, Boo!

Thanks Trish!

Field Report from The Brownstone - Continued
When I first arrived at The Brownstone and checked in, I started to look for a seat and found some very lovely women to sit with! Two of the girls, Lauren and Lisa came from Long Island to see the “soap stars” and I was thrilled for them when they won the silent auction tour of a soap opera set!
When the breakfast buffet was ready, people went up to get food in no apparent order – causing a HUGE line. Sometime before (or during) breakfast, Peck, Evans and Kanan arrived. Finally over by the door, a buzz was brewing and you could tell that “The Housewives” had arrived! Well, all except Teresa (who was late) and Danielle (who was…not invited!)
The girls sat in the front with the soap stars and the “Q and A” began. They asked each table to limit themselves to one question per table and everyone complied with the request. The fans asked some great questions including:
- “Where is Danielle? Why isn’t she here?” – Caroline, “Because this is MY HOUSE!!!”
- “How are things going with Danielle?” – Jacqueline, “I just spoke to Danielle recently. Things are fine. Definitely not as good as they were before everything happened, but I just don’t want there to be tension…”
- Dina interjects on the topic of Danielle – “It’s really my fault that she was on the show. Bravo DID come to the hair salon (Chateau) to look for women, but the show was supposed to be called “Jersey Girls” (NOT a Real Housewives show at all – more like what “Miami Social” is but funny and light-hearted.) But my girlfriends kept dropping out one by one so I was like “What about that crazy girl (Danielle)?”
- “How is the (Jacqueline’s) baby?” – Jacqueline, “He’s good. His name is Nicholas, he’s sleeping really well, probably because we’re feeding him a lot!” (Theresa is due in September, but the sex of her baby is going to be a surprise!)
- “Will there be a Season 2?” – Caroline, “We’re in negotiations now but things look very positive.”
After the Q and A, fans were invited to line up by table for autographs. The girls signed pretty much everything – from pictures (sold for $5 each with proceeds going to the charity), t-shirts (there were Project Ladybug shirts sold for charity and “Team Caroline” shirts that Caroline’s two sons Albie and Christopher were helping sell), and even Polaroid pictures taken by fans! They also auctioned off some great items – including dinner at LuNello (the 'table-flipping' restaurant!)
To end the event, the girls posed for pictures in front of the “step and repeat” with fans. I really got a sense that these women are enjoying the “celebrity status” that the show has brought them, but not really thriving on it. They just seemed very down-to-earth and not jaded in any way. It felt more like “breakfast with the girls” than “meeting celebrities.” Good times!
